Khan Younis endured some of the heaviest bombardments and raids of the conflict. City blocks, hospitals, and shelters were systematically struck as IDF ground forces moved south. Testimonies report mass graves dug hurriedly near hospitals, including Nasser Hospital, where bodies were interred in courtyards. Across the city, civilians were killed during raids, bombardments, and forced evacuations. The civilian toll reached into the hundreds, with reports of entire families wiped out.
