The Gaza Sports Club, like other athletic facilities, was repurposed as a mass detention and processing site. Witness reports describe civilians being rounded up, stripped, and interrogated. Many disappeared following detention, with evidence suggesting execution and burial in the vicinity of the club. Families searching for missing relatives have pointed to the club as a disappearance hub.
Satellite imagery shows disturbed ground on the club’s perimeter during the height of operations. Survivor and NGO testimony indicates detainees were buried nearby.
