Nasser Hospital, the principal medical complex for southern Gaza, was repeatedly besieged and raided in 2024. Operations and fighting led to large-scale deaths and the collapse of critical care. After withdrawals, mass burial trenches were reported on or adjacent to hospital grounds.
Survivor accounts and media from the Gaza report describe prolonged detention of staff and patients, obstruction of care, and bodies accumulating without refrigeration. Hasty burials were carried out within compound areas and nearby lots. Satellite time-series shows compound damage and disturbed soil consistent with trenching during and after raid periods.
